Getting Down to Business
1. What is your job profile?
Software Engineer, Web Developer, Full-Stack Engineer but mainly Software Engineer.
2. Name one professional skill that you are currently trying to develop?
Web map development.
3. What’s your go-to productivity trick?
For "full on" focus I need either absolute silence or I put on some music. I need to somehow dive into my world and this is the way I manage to do it.
4. What characteristic or behavior do you most attribute your success to, and why?
Positive thinking.
5. What have you learned from your worst job experience?
For me the worst experience was when my project manager left. When someone key leaves a company there’s a void. Since, in this case, there was no replacement it was hard to decide to whom pass the knowledge on and to whom I was reporting.
6. Talk to us about something unexpected you have encountered in your company?
A family environment.
7. What led you to this career?
My high school background was in economics, but I couldn’t imagine myself studying something related with business or economics, which would’ve been the normal pathway. At the time, in face of the options I had, computer science seemed like a good one.
8. What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?
I wouldn't say that this is a misconception only about my position, it is more about people that work in IT, in general, which is that we are lab rats and nerds, with no social life.
9. If you could add one thing to your company office, what would it be?
A nap area.
10. Would you rather work very hard at a rewarding job or hardly work at a job that isn’t rewarding?
I rather work hard in something that I like, than hardly work at something that I don’t like.

So far, I don't feel like I have done any mistakes.

13. What advice would you give to your teenage self?
I would tell my young self to study a bit harder, during college. I would also tell my young self to do an internship instead of spending so much time playing PlayStation.
14. What drains you outside of work?
My master thesis.
15. What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
That I have a bad temper. Not a lot of people have seen it.
