moon. flowers. people.
beginning of year 2020, I started exploring my creative journey, experimenting with various geometric shapes in contrast to what would consider my inherent artistic style. The outcome was surprising, perhaps influenced by the calming effect of winter, I found myself drawn to gentler color palettes. This series of illustrations were born from inspiration drawn from the moon, flowers, and people, and it unfolded amidst the unexpected backdrop of a global pandemic.
eat your ‘frutties’
emotional eating is a term used to describe the propensity to eat in response to positive and negative emotions. food & feelings have always been a triggering dynamic of interest to me.
the ties that both cooking and eating have with different cultures and socialising behaviors are a never ending captivating subject of curiosity.
it is my belief that one of the reasons why food and emotions got so entangled, in particular, in the western societies, is due to the eradication of the growth, farm and plant work from our lives.
the willingness to bypass everything that symbolises wait of outcome, as brought us all somehow to a pace that doesn’t seem to suit us, nor be healthy for ourselves.
eat YOUR ‘fruitties’ is a claim to wanting to go back to a place where we are present in all parts of what we eat lifecycle.
kit[s]chen
to describe a piece of decorative art as “kitschy” suggests that it's crude, cheap, unsophisticated, unoriginal, mass-produced, and above all sentimental.
at the time that I was doing these sketches I was feeling bombarded by the matisse posters on social media, where his art often appears in a white frame with some type of title and description bellow.
the phenomena around the ‘commercial versions’ of an artists’ work is really interesting to witness in the sense that it juxtaposes the democratisation of the art work versus the notion of the artwork’s value.
inspired in the bright colors fruits bring to our lives and rooted in a deep kitsch feeling, this collection aspires to uplift you and your kit(s)chen space (or other by that matter) without fear of showing your tacky side.

emotions & things
"i think everything in life is art. what you do. how you dress. the way you love someone, and how you talk. your smile and your personality. what you believe in, and all your dreams. the way you drink your tea. how you decorate your home. or party. your grocery list. the food you make. how your writing looks. and the way you feel. life is art” - Helena Bonham Carter

in 1966, james brown, knew
this is a man's world, this is a man's world
but it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl.
In this series of illustrations, I capture the essence of womanhood in its most delicate, free, and naked form. Each artwork is a visual ode to the intricate beauty of femininity, celebrating the unburdened and uninhibited corporal expressions that characterise women. These pieces offer a profound exploration of the diverse facets of womanhood, both within myself and the women I've encountered. Through this series, I hope to evoke a sense of empowerment, unity, and a deep appreciation for the natural, unadorned beauty that defines women."

dysfunctional geo[metric] grammar
shapes warp and colors clash in a chaotic, surreal dance that invites the viewer into a world of dysfunctional (some more than others) compositions. A ride through a spur of the moment combinations, where geometry goes on a mild acid trip.
